Lisa Picatto is JPI Oceans’ Communication Officer. She supports all communication-related tasks and activities, with a specific focus on the OKEANO CSA. With a strong academic background in Marine Biology alongside specialised training in Science Communication and Ocean Literacy, she is a creative and committed young professional. She is adept at fostering communication and nurturing relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. Her skill set extends from graphic design and videomaking, to data analysis and crafting compelling promotional materials. Prior to joining JPI Oceans in 2024, she acted as scientific mediator at the Institut de la Mer de Villefranche, as field researcher for the Tethys Research Institute, and as outreach officer for the Aberdeen University Marine Society.
