The Knowledge Hub on Sea Level Rise is a joint effort by JPI Climate & JPI Oceans, focusing on building a networking platform to promote exchange, synthesis, integration and generation of knowledge on sea level rise, to support policy and decision making related to regional to local sea level changes in Europe.
Aiming towards such goal, the Knowledge Hub envisions a scoping process where stakeholders are invited to attend workshops that will inform the agenda of a pan-European expert conference, to be held in Venice in October-November 2022 (date tbd). Each of the workshops will be dedicated to a European Sea Basin where perspectives on sea level rise issues will be shared among participants from the countries of that basin.The main result from the workshops series and conference will be an Assessment Report on sea level rise drivers, impacts and policy options for each of the major sea basins around Europe. The long-term ambition of the Knowledge Hub is in fact to provide easy access to usable knowledge on regional-local sea level change in Europe through a series of periodic assessments.
This 5-minute survey aims to identify sea level rise issues of interest to be covered in the scoping workshops and in the final conference. It is open to all interested stakeholders, even those unable or unavailable to participate in the workshops.
This survey will be an opportunity for stakeholders to contribute to the agenda of the Knowledge Hub and the Assessment Report. The survey will take about 5 minutes of your time. It consists of a series of questions about sea level rise issues (magnitude, impacts, planning) in your area of influence (country/region). At the end we ask you for some (anonymous) information about your work profile and your willingness to participate in these workshops.
