Gabrielle Aubert has joined JPI Oceans team as Science-policy adviser in November 2024. Her current work portfolio focuses on the Joint Actions on Blue Carbon and Ocean Oxygen Loss and the Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership. She holds a Bachelor in French and common law, a Master’s degree in International and European Law from the Université Paris Nanterre and a double Master’s degree in Environmental Law from the University of Melbourne and the Université Paris Nanterre. Gabrielle specialised in marine biodiversity protection, and wrote her dissertation on Marine Protected Areas and the need for a global framework of protection. Previously, she worked as a policy analyst at the Institute for European Environmental Policy and focused on EU and global biodiversity policies.
